WHY I'M RUNNING

I'm truly honored and humbled to be your Representative for House District 24 in Wilson & Nash Counties. Wilson County is my home. I believe every family here deserves an affordable roof over their heads, excellent schools for their children, and access to affordable healthcare. I've dedicated my life to advocating for these issues, which is why I am running for reelection to the North Carolina House of Representatives to continue the fight for our community at the state level.

In 2024, our community made history. Together, we broke the Republican supermajority, restoring a critical check on extreme policies that were hurting working families. That victory showed what’s possible when we organize and turn out.

House District 24 is one of the most competitive districts in North Carolina, and Republicans are working to take this seat back to regain their supermajority. We have to win again to keep holding them accountable and protect progress for North Carolinians.

As your representative, I strive to be a bridge builder and a problem solver. I am dedicated to making life easier for the people of eastern North Carolina. I’m working to deliver economic opportunity, strong public schools, expanded healthcare access, and lower healthcare costs so families in our part of the state can prosper.

The Cost of a Three‑Year‑Old Budget in a Growing State

April 7, 2026

"It has been almost one year since the North Carolina General Assembly was supposed to pass a state budget that reflected the needs of North Carolinians. Passing a budget is the number one job of the General Assembly, and the Republican-led legislature has failed. "

The Pittman Progress Report

March 9, 2026

"Since our last newsletter, we have hosted First Lady Stein in Wilson, I’ve visited Vick and Gardners Elementary for Read Across America week and been at work preparing for another busy legislative session. Protecting our Military Bases Through Farmland Preservation

February 27, 2026

"Farmland preservation is one of the smartest tools we have to address this challenge. When land near our installations remains in the hands of local farmers, it supports our food supply, sustains rural economies, and protects military readiness at the same time."
